Event Recaps

This past spring, the City of Henderson and TARGET® partnered to unveil a new cultural arts series, ArtBeat Presented by . The free series held on Fridays in April, May and June attracted over 3,000 people to the Henderson Events Plaza to enjoy live performances, art demonstrations and kids “make & take” crafts. An average of 25 local artists and vendors per event, participated by displaying and selling their artwork or services.

Artists and businesses have expressed their appreciation for this unique opportunity to reach new audiences. Many of the artists have sold their artwork at ArtBeat, including the Plaza Gallery selling six pieces on June 26. Additionally, ArtBeat allows galleries and art organizations, such as the Henderson Art Association, to promote and educate the public on their business or group.

TARGET® Presents ArtBeat is on hiatus for the summer months, but will return in the fall. If you are interested in participating as an artist, please contact Sally Ahlstedt at (702) 267-2143.
