Take a trip back to the 80s with lead singer, Cy Curnin of the rock band, The Fixx. He'll perform the group's Top 20 hits including "One Thing Leads To Another" and "Saved by Zero," as well as his original compositions as a solo artist. Exciting pre-show activities begin at 6:30 p.m. Nick Harper, son of the legendary U.K. singer/songwriter, Roy Harper, and member of the 80s English pop band, Squeeze, will open the show at 7 p.m., followed by Cy Curnin .

Branded as the toughest course in North America by "The Man" himself, Dave Scott, the Nevada Silverman attracts individuals and relay teams from around the world. The Nevada Silverman features full and half distance triathlons with over 12,000 feet and 6,000 feet elevation gain and breathtaking views during the most challenging swim, bike and run courses. For the second year, several athletes from Operation Rebound, an organization that provides unparalleled sports opportunities and support to disabled veterans of the armed forces, will participate in the Silverman Half Relay. Come out and support our troops!

Calling all Toy Soldiers, Little Drummer Boys and Barbie Dolls! Enter the WinterFest Parade in Henderson scheduled for December 12, 2009 at 10 a.m. The theme for this year’s holiday procession is “Toys on Parade.” You could be rewarded for your creativity with a cash prize in the amount of $1,000 or $500 . The city’s annual WinterFest event also features other family-friendly activities including, ice skating, Santa Claus visits, snow play, pony rides and holiday entertainment from December 10-12.
