SAVVY & MANDY NAMED OPENING ACT FOR DRAKE BELL CONCERT

Pop duo Savvy & Mandy will open for Drake Bell on Saturday, April 19 at 7 p.m. at the Henderson Pavilion, located at 200 S. Green Valley Parkway. Ticket prices for this all-ages show range from $22 to $35.

Hailing from Southern California, sisters Savvy, age 14, and Mandy, age 12, sing and play guitar for original hip songs about sun, summer and tween living. As self-taught musicians, they use positivity and youthful enthusiasm with sing-along tunes that are relatable to their 8-12 year-old fans.

Their debut single, “Waiting for the Heartbreak,” was featured on the MTV series Newport Harbor: The Real Orange County. Earlier this year, the song won Radio Disney’s Music Mailbag earning them online and regional airplay on Radio Disney stations. It also received airplay on AOL Radio’s Kid station, Yahoo’s Launchcast Radio as well as featured on the iTunes home page from and on the iTunes Pop page in January.

Mandy & Savvy released Christmas in California, a digital-only EP, which was included on the YM.com website’s What’s Hot This Week in November 2007. The sisters also contribute to the Milk Rocks! Program, which brings music to children enrolled in U.S. schools through milk cartons.

In addition to their recording career, Savvy & Mandy use their lovable personalities, humor and creativity on their self-titled web show on YouTube. The show delivers several installments of a serial portraying the day-to-day antics involved in growing up.
