98.5 KLUC SUMMER JAM 2009 TO BE HELD MAY 23 AT THE HENDERSON PAVILION

Jesse McCartney to headline along with other special musical guests

City of Henderson, in partnership with 98.5 KLUC, TC Entertainment and The Event Group, present Summer Jam 2009 at the Henderson Pavilion, 200 South Green Valley Parkway, on Saturday, May 23 at 6:30 p.m. Gates open at 5 p.m. Headlining the show is multi-platinum recording artist Jesse McCartney. He will be joined by special guests Soulja Boy, Asher Roth, HardNox and D&A. Ticket prices start at $25.

With his May 2008 release of Departure, Jesse McCartney established himself at the forefront of a new pop/R&B hybrid. Yet even as the album has seen great success and reaped a platinum single with “Leavin,” he re-entered the studio late last year and recorded several new songs for his recent album, Departure: Recharged. The album includes four new tracks and a remix of “How Do You Sleep” featuring actor/rapper Ludacris. As a songwriter, Jesse co-penned Leona Lewis’ number one single in the United States and Britain, “Bleeding Love,” earning a Grammy.

As an actor, Jesse earned two Emmy nominations, starred in the hit TV show Summerland. He also lent his voice to Theodore in the box office smash Alvin & The Chipmunks and soon Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel, set for release on Christmas Day 2009. This spring McCartney can be seen on ABC Family’s breakout hit Greek where he portrays Andy, a football star who becomes a Kappa Tau pledge.
