COUNTRY FRESH FARMERS MARKET OPENS SECOND LOCATION

Fresh fruits, vegetables and more, available at Henderson Pavilion

(Henderson, NV) – Beginning Friday, May 13, the Henderson community will have an additional option for farm fresh shopping. The Country Fresh Farmers Market is opening a second location at the Henderson Pavilion, 200 S. Green Valley Parkway. It will operate every Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., weather permitting. Admission is complimentary.

“We are looking forward to expanding the farmers market to other locations within our community,” said Mark Calhoun, Henderson City Manager. “This will give people in different parts of the city the opportunity to experience the personal touch and feel this event provides, in addition to giving them access to premium, quality produce each week.”

The new farmers market location is easily accessible from Green Valley Parkway, on the southeast corner at Paseo Verde, with vendors lining the sidewalks in front of the Henderson Pavilion. Dozens of merchants are expected to participate, including those selling seasonal fruits and vegetables, bakery fresh breads and pastries, salsa, kettle corn and other food items. The market will also feature crafters displaying hand-made dolls, jewelry, as well as various arts and crafts. Additional booths include gift baskets for all occasions, jewelry repair and other specialty items.

The Country Fresh Farmers Market has had a successful operation every Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Henderson’s Water Street District for the past seven years, attracting hundreds of visitors each week.
