Concert Band presents classical, patriotic and contemporary music
The 300th Army Band will perform, Thursday, June 24 at 8 p.m. at the Henderson Events Plaza, 200 S. Water Street, in the Water Street District. The 30-member band, which is comprised of Army Reserve soldiers, will perform classical, patriotic and contemporary pieces. Admission is free.
The 300th Army Band is located in Bell, California at the Patton Army Reserve Center, just east of downtown Los Angeles. Members reside in areas stretching from San Diego to Las Vegas and hold civilian jobs in many fields, in and outside of music.
Over the last 15 years, the 300th Army Band has performed at a variety of community and military events throughout the nation, as well as supported humanitarian aid missions in El Salvador and Panama. The band has also participated in events with former president, Gerald Ford; California governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger; WWII pilot, Chuck Yeager; and Los Angeles Dodgers announcer, Vin Scully.
