Special local room rates as low as $31 at select Henderson hotels
The City of Henderson debuted its first-ever staycation package, enticing classic car aficionados and their families to stay at one of its many premier resorts during Super Run weekend, Thursday, September 22 – Sunday, September 25. Residents may select from a collection of conveniently-located hotels, beginning at $31 a night.
“Locals are searching for vacation spots that are not only bargains, but convenient and close to home,” said Mark Calhoun, Henderson City Manager. “We wanted to create a package that was unique, affordable and appealed to the devoted Super Run fan. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate the love of hot rods and great music than planning a trip to Henderson to enjoy Southern Nevada’s largest car show.”
With a minimum two-night stay, the Super Run Staycation Package includes the following:
· VIP concert seating for Friday & Saturday
· Meet & greet with The Temptations Review & Against the Grain
· The Temptations Review & Against the Grain souvenir
· Commemorative apparel
· Exclusive deals from event partners
Many Henderson properties, from Lake Las Vegas to Green Valley, are participating in this exclusive deal. Most of which are less than a five-mile cruise in the Deuce Coupe to the historic Water Street District, where Super Run is taking place, and offer appealing amenities for gear heads and their family.
After a day of classic car action, burning rubber excitement and, not to mention, dancing to the best in oldies and country music, some vintage local automobile fans may want to cool their engines and take some time to relax. Guests can take a dip into a refreshing, spacious pool at one of many fine hotels including Hampton Inn & Suites, Hilton Garden Inn and TownPlace Suites.
Other family-friendly resorts like Loews and Ravella, located at Lake Las Vegas, feature beautiful swimming lagoons with beach entries, as well as additional activity pools and hot tubs for those looking to unwind. Or for the youngsters or kids-at-heart who dare to take the plunge, Loews includes a 30-foot waterslide, full of exciting twists, turns and dips.
Complimenting the resorts’ experience, exceptional dining options, from Sonoma Cellar Steakhouse in Sunset Station to affordable bistros at MonteLago Village in Lake Las Vegas, the choices are endless. In addition, nearly all the properties are close to an assortment of unique shopping quarters including The District and Galleria at Sunset.
The Super Run Staycation Package is subject to room availability. Local ID required. In order to receive the special, the specific hotel’s booking code must be mentioned when making reservations. For a list of participating Henderson hotels, room rates and codes, please visit HendersonLive.com.
This year marks the 12th anniversary of Super Run. The event showcases up to 1,000 classic cars, hot rods and vintage vehicles, as well as nightly concerts. This year’s entertainment includes The Temptations Review featuring Dennis Edwards, performing the best of Motown like “My Girl” and “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg,” and local country music favorites Against the Grain. Spectator admission is complimentary.
