Bus to run continuous loop from Target on Lake Mead Parkway to
Southern Nevada’s largest car show
The City of Henderson announced it will offer complimentary shuttle service to and from this year’s Super Run Classic Car Show. The service will be available Friday, September 23 and Saturday, September 24, the event’s most popular days, from 11 a.m. – 10 p.m., and will run on a continuous loop to three locations.
“Super Run is one of our most celebrated events,” said Mark Calhoun, Henderson City Manager. “With thousands coming to Henderson for the car show, we wanted to make it more convenient for everyone to not only access the event, but make it easier for those visiting businesses in the Water Street District. The new shuttle service is a welcomed addition.”
Gear heads will be able to park at the Lake Mead Crossing Plaza parking lot on the southeast corner of Water Street and Lake Mead Parkway, next to Target, at no cost and take a quick trip on the shuttle bus to Super Run. They will have the opportunity to be dropped off at the car show, stopping at the Henderson Convention Center, 200 S. Water Street, and Emerald Island Casino, 120 Market Street.
Other complimentary public parking is available at various locations throughout the Water Street District including City Hall and Justice Facility parking garages, Henderson Convention Center parking lot and surrounding streets.
Super Run is scheduled for Thursday, September 22 – Sunday, September 25, attracting over 100,000 people to the Water Street District to see up to 1,000 classic cars, hot rods and vintage vehicles on display, as well as enjoy a variety of full throttle competitions including burn outs and roaring engines contests. Recognized as Southern Nevada’s largest car show, Super Run will also include exciting nightly concerts by oldies group The Temptations Review featuring Dennis Edwards and Against the Grain, a popular local country act. Spectator admission is complimentary.
