CITY OF HENDERSON HOSTS SHAKESPEARE IN THE PARK

 
The City of Henderson Cultural Arts & Tourism Department is delighted to present its annual Shakespeare in the Park series with three productions of Romeo & Juliet from October 3-5, 2008 at Sonata Park, located at 1550 Seven Hills Drive. Admission and parking is FREE.
 
“Shakespeare in the Park has been a cultural tradition for over 20 years,” said Andrea Primo, Director of the Cultural Arts & Tourism Department. “Since its inception, the series has brought the community together for a special weekend of professional and intriguing productions of Shakespeare’s greatest comedies, tragedies and romances.” 
 
Romeo & Juliet will be performed by Shakespeare At Play, a national traveling theater company featuring award-winning actors, directors, writers and producers. As one of the greatest tragic love stories written, Romeo & Juliet follows the lives of two young lovers forced to hide their romance from their feuding families while tempting fate together. 
 
Romeo & Juliet schedule of performances at Sonata Park include:
 
Friday, October 3  at 7 p.m.
Saturday, October 4 at 7 p.m.
Sunday, October 5 at 4 p.m.
