at Southern Nevada’s largest car show in Henderson

The City of Henderson has partnered with Bettie Page Clothing to debut the first-ever Super Run fashion show at this year’s classic car show. Models will hit the runway, unveiling the boutique’s fall 2011 collection, Saturday, September 24 at 7 p.m. at the Henderson Events Plaza, 200 S. Water Street, in the Water Street District. Inspired by the legendary styling of the “Queen of Pinups,” Bettie Page, the Henderson-based retailer will feature apparel with a ‘50s retro flair. From animal prints to pencil skirts, floral blouses and glamorous dresses, Bettie Page Clothing will take fashionitas of all-ages into an exciting time warp, where Elvis reined the airwaves, sock hops were the craze and drive-in movies were the weekend hangouts.

“I’m so thrilled to be a part of this year’s Super Run,” said Tatyana Khomyakova, founder and designer for Bettie Page Clothing. “The car show is another great opportunity for me to meet new and exciting people who love our dresses.”

Launched in 2007 by husband/wife duo Jan Glaser and Khomyakova, a Russian-born fashion designer, Bettie Page Clothing, burst onto the Las Vegas fashion scene, opening its first store in Planet Hollywood. In a short time period, the vintage clothing line has expanded with several boutiques in California’s popular destinations including the Gaslamp District in San Diego, Hollywood and San Francisco’s Haight-Ashbury, as well as a secondary shop in Las Vegas at Caesar’s Palace and is featured at other merchants in nearly 60 countries worldwide.

Bettie Page Clothing has captivated millions. With her timeless creations, Khomyakova has heightened the style icon’s popularity amongst multiple generations. In fact, celebrities, including Katy Perry, Holly Madison, Pink and Leighton Meester, are flocking to stores in search for that perfect outfit that captures Bettie Page’s signature look.

The fashion show will join the festivities associated with the Super Run Classic Car Show, scheduled for Thursday, September 22 – Sunday, September 25. The event attract over 100,000 people to the Water Street District to see up to 1,000 classic cars, hot rods and vintage vehicles on display, as well as enjoy a variety of full throttle competitions including burn outs and roaring engines contests.
