FROM ACTRESS TO MUSICIAN: KATEY SAGAL DEBUTS SINGING TALENTS AT A FREE CONCERT IN HENDERSON

Best known for her role on the hit comedy series Married…With Children, sitcom diva and singer/songwriter Katey Sagal retraces her first love of music with an exclusive concert on Friday, October 17 at the Henderson Events Plaza, located at 200 S. Water Street, at 8 p.m. Admission and parking is FREE.

A versatile actress, Sagal has entertained audiences in a variety of dramatic and comedic roles throughout her career. She became a household name 20 years ago playing the outrageous Peg Bundy in the ground-breaking, highly-rated series Married…With Children, which she received three Golden Globe® and two American Comedy Award nominations. She also starred in the ABC series 8 Simple Rules…For Dating My Teenage Daughter along side the late John Ritter, and was the voice of Leela, a beautiful one-eyed alien, in the animated series Futurama.

In addition to acting, Sagal has earned recognition as a critically-acclaimed singer/songwriter by performing passionate songs about family, relationships and life experiences. Her sophomore album entitled Room featured “Daddy’s Girl,” a touching song about the dynamics of a long-lasting father and daughter relationship. The song debuted in 2004 on an episode of 8 Simple Rules…For Dating My Teenage Daughter. The album is a combination of original compositions penned by Sagal as well as timeless classics like “(For the Love of) Money” by the O’Jays.

Additionally, the talented performer has shared the stage with Bette Midler and sang backup vocals for Bob Dylan, Gene Simmons, Olivia Newton-John, Etta James and Tanya Tucker.
