EXPOSE SINGER PREMIERES MUSIC FROM SOLO PROJECT AT ARTBEAT

Jeanette Jurado performs new original songs with second show in Henderson

Jeanette Jurado, multi-platinum artist and member of the popular girl group, Exposé, will debut new music from her first solo project with a special concert for fans, Friday, October 21 at 8 p.m. at the Henderson Events Plaza, 200 S. Water Street, in the Water Street District, for the City of Henderson’s ArtBeat presented by Target series. Admission is complimentary.

Jurado’s appearance will be her second at a Henderson venue. Last year, she was joined on-stage by her band members, Ann Curless and Gioia Bruno, for an Exposé reunion concert. The record-breaking trio performed to a packed crowd, singing #1 smash hits from the ‘80s and ‘90s including “Seasons Change,” “Point of No Return” and “Come Go With Me,” all of which featured Jurado as lead vocalist.

Jurado burst onto the music scene, joining Exposé 25 years ago. With her powerhouse vocals, Jurado helped catapult the dance/pop band into legendary status, crushing records set by such icons as The Beatles and The Supremes. With the success of their first record, Exposed, Exposé became the first group in history to have four Top 10 hits featured on their debut album and in later months was acknowledged as the first all-female group to have seven back-to-back
Billboard Top 10 hits.

Now, after more than two decades singing with Exposé, Jurado has switched gears to focus on a new adventure as a solo artist. In the last year, she has formed a super group of talented local musicians to accompany her on this new project. With the expertise of fellow performers, Steven Fansler, Tony D’Augestine and Justin Vogel, Jurado will unveil an anthology of original songs, incorporating funky dance beats, smooth ballads and a hint of Spanish flair, as a sneak preview for fans, prior to the album’s much-awaited release.
