INTERNATIONAL FOOD & FOLKLIFE FESTIVAL MOVES TO HENDERSONAfter more than 30 years in Las Vegas, the International Food & Folklife Festival moves to Henderson. The event, which celebrates diverse cultures found in Southern Nevada, joins the celebrations of the annual Henderson Heritage Parade & Festival on Saturday, April 19. The festival will be held in the Henderson Events Plaza, located at 200 S. Water Street, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. All events are free and open to the public.

NORM JOHNSON TO BE FEATURED ARTIST FOR 11th ANNUAL ARTFEST OF HENDERSONLocal icon Norm Johnson, best known for his award-winning journalism and the founder of the Mint 400 Off-Road Desert Race, has recently turned his focus on sculpting. To commemorate his new-found passion, the City of Henderson will recognize Johnson as one of the featured artists at the 11th annual ArtFestTM of Henderson, May 10-11 in the Water Street District in downtown Henderson. CITY OF HENDERSON LAUNCHES CAMPAIGN BENEFITING TOYS FOR TOTSThe City of Henderson is providing more opportunities to give during the holidays. The City has partnered with the U.S. Marine Corps for its 60th anniversary of the Toys for Tots program. From November 23 thru December 19, the Henderson Convention Center will be collecting new and unwrapped toys for the less fortunate children living in Southern Nevada.

The City is delighted to welcome a great addition to the Henderson’s Terrible 400 Desert Race week of festivities, November 28 - December 2. Yellow Brick Road (YBR), a local classic rock tribute band, will perform a free concert in the Water Street District in downtown Henderson on Friday, November 30 from 6:30 - 8 p.m. All events are free to spectators.
